Which are the characteristics of Kapi vineyard?

Kapi is a single vineyard plot situated in the upper part (150 - 180 m above sea level) of the southern slopes of Disznókő. A unique terroir with a volcanic, lighter clay soil containing a lot of rhyolite gravels. Kapi vineyard is planted with Furmint, the noblest and most ancient Tokaj variety. Its special character: Furmint mirrors the terroir. The grapes ripen late and easily become aszú berries, retaining excellent acidity.

Disznókő Kapi Vineyard Tokaji Aszú 6 puttonyos is an extremely rare single vineyard wine. It is made only when the Kapi Vineyard distinctively expresses its own personality and with only the most perfect Furmint aszú berries from this parcel. An extremely limited number of bottles in very few vintages (to date only 2011, 2005 & 1999 released).
